About me.... if you are interested 🙂
This is how it all started
My first job was in 1997 on city radio Libertas, located in Dubrovnik. I was employed as a technician. In lack of voice choices I recorded my voice for one commercial and that is where it all started.
And so training began – phonetic speech exercises, breathing techniques, articulation, diction, voice warm up… all of that so my voice would sound professional when on air.
I am an electrician by profession so my love for technology continued and developed further. I continued to improve my knowledge in a wide range of audio production and implementing it by using and testing various software and hardware equipment in studio. I stayed at Dubrovnik city Radio Laus from 2002 till 2005 on a position as a Technical manager. I have moved on in 2005 to Dubrovnik county radio Soundset Ragusa as a Technical and production manager until 2014.
Parallel with my job, I opened my own studio back in 2007. EPP audio studio (name of my company) is specialized in radio production advertisement, where various narration projects started to happen, mostly as a speaker/narrator (voiceover). I profiled myself in dramatic, film and sport announcements, but also have covered a lot of area where warm and calm voice was needed such as fairy tales for children.

Different projects demand different interpretation, so technical equipment needs to match desired requirements in order to make it sound better.
For instance when recording an e-learning material I’m using a combination of microphone and amplifier (Austrian Audio OC18 or MJolly 47 + Focusrite ISA) due to the fact that pronunciation and recorded material has to sound friendly, warm and honest at all time, and by using this combination it will sound in that way.
For narration – as a speaker for TV, radio commercials and jingles I always use these microphones:
Neumann TLM103 or Senheisser MKH416 + Apollo twin in combination with plug ins ( Manley VoxBox, Neve preamp…) which give that so called „in your face“ effect when voice has to sound dramatic, self confident, dynamic, aggressive etc.
I enjoy testing different equipment and I mix it up from time to time. I’m always in pursuit for new equipment which will suit my voice the best.
At the moment I’m using following equipment in my studio:
- Microphone: Neumann TLM 103, Sennheiser MKH416, M.Joly 47, Austrian Audio OC18, AKG 214, RodeNT1
- Preamp: Focusrite ISA, Universal Audio 710 TwinFinity
- PC DAW: RME AiO, UAD Apollo Twin
- Software: Reaper
- Monitor: Yamaha HS5, IK Multimedia iLoud Micro, Avantone Mixcube
- Controler: Softube Control 1 + Fader, Mackie BigKnob
- Headphone: Sennheiser HD660s, BayerDynamic DT770 Pro
- Booth: Auralex Acoustic
